Children's Activity Support - Volunteer Role
Why We Want You
Our after school playcentre & holiday club offers families flexible and affordable childcare solutions through active multi-activity programmes within a safe, supportive and fun environment. We understand that children have different interests ensuring that each day is filled with a wide range of inclusive activities suitable for all abilities and interests. As well as being able to choose what activities they would like to do, children are always encouraged to try something new.
Our volunteers can help make this happen and continue. Minimum Age 16 +
What You Will Be Doing
Planning and organising group activities, which take into consideration age, abilities and interests of members
Setting up group activities in advance and clearing away afterwards. This might include preparing refreshments/snacks, organising the layout of the room, preparing resources and tidying the room after the group
Assisting children to improve their self-confidence, develop social skills and build positive relationships
Role modelling positive behaviour and interactions during sessions
Adhering to Moss Hall Playcentre policies and procedures at all times, including: Safeguarding; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Health & Safety; Data Protection; Confidentiality
